It is also committed to promoting trade within the African Continental Free Trade Area.
The AMQF has received support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which has been working in Nigeria since 2013. During the meeting, delegates heard presentations from ISO accredited laboratories, the World Bank, the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD) and the Pharmaceutical Association of the World Health Organization (PATH).
Dr. Omokhudu Idogho, president of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), reiterated the commitment of PMAN to providing affordable health care to the people of Nigeria. He also pledged continued collaboration with the Nigerian government.
