To become certified, you must establish a quality management system following the most current ISO 9001 Certification in Uganda to set up an effective quality management system. And then have the QMS reviewed by an accredited auditor.
It results in a certificate that is usually valid for three years. After that, the company will need to renew its certification.
Technically, it’s only possible for businesses to obtain the ISO 9001 certification in Uganda. Still, to clarify, I’ve included the steps on how one can become an accredited certified Body (CB or Registered) to conduct accreditation reviews for businesses.
For businesses
It must be stated clearly it is essential to be clear that ISO 9001 is not a group that businesses can “join up” to. It is a certificate that is a requirement within a particular auditing procedure.
To become ISO 9001 certified in Uganda, you must:
- Create and implement an effective quality management system in line with the principles of the most current ISO 9001 Certification in Uganda
- Conduct an audit with a Certified Body (CB or Registrar) to determine the performance of your QMS about the most recent ISO 9001 Certification in Uganda.
- If you’re successful, your certificate must be renewed every period of three years (and every three years after that) to ensure that you comply with the standard (as well as any new modifications to the standards)
